Crescendo Music Camp is a fun and fulfilling solution to your child’s summer, culminating with a virtual performance, digital recording, or online podcast!
Crescendo Music Camp (CMC) is a virtual day camp open to students entering grades 5 - 12.
This summer we're offering two 5-week sessions, with weekly classes in performance, arranging and songwriting, music theory and composition, or music podcasting, all taught by musicians trained at top music schools.
At CMC we begin each week with a full "camp assembly." These short, engaging Zoom calls are led by music experts presenting ideas that are useful and interesting for all ages and skill levels. Our camp days are dedicated to individualized classes where students work one on one with instructors to produce fully fledged projects by the end of their 5-week session. Instructors are trained to work at the student's level and pace, so your child can experience success in any class they choose, regardless of their prior experience.
Each five-week session culminates in a recital and sharing of projects. The performances will take place via Zoom and all students will receive a quality digital recording at the conclusion of the session.
Depending on the concentration area chosen, the student will have the opportunity to either practice and perform songs, write and record their own songs, or create and record a polished podcast!
Most similar to traditional lessons, students select a focus of either Classical, Jazz, or Pop. They'll have a weekly 30 minute group session teaching new performance techniques, as well as two focused 45 minute individual lessons to improve tone, technique, and practice methods as they prepare for their recital performance at the end of their 5th week of camp.
